The Medicover Hospital accredited by the Ministry of Health

Medicover Hospital for the third time received the accreditation of the Ministry of Health confirming the high quality of treatment and patient safety. The accreditation process consists of an external evaluation of the institution work, which is performed by the Centre for Quality Monitoring in Health Care - unit of the Ministry of Health. The accreditation is granted for a period of three years. Currently, 203 of 1200 hospitals in Poland have accreditation certificate.

The hospital accreditation programme has been operating in Poland since 1998. The process is based on standards, containing over 200 guidelines within 15 departments. They are directed at improving the quality and safety of care in comprehensive functioning of the hospital.

Accreditation of the Ministry of Health is for us confirmation of high standards of treatment and quality of patient service at the Medicover Hospital. In the accreditation process, areas such as realization of continuity and complexity of treatment, care for respect of patient's rights and duties, prevention and treatment of infections or the use of effective painkillers after surgery were verified. For this reason, the hospital's certificate is also a reliable source of information for patients regarding high-level medical care

emphasized Anna Nipanicz-Szałkowska, Director of the Medicover Hospital in Warsaw.

The accreditation evaluation is based on a comparison between the proven practice of proceedings in hospital and the accreditation standards, and determining the level of their fulfilment. The minimum 75% score guarantees the accreditation for three years. Participation in the accreditation process is voluntary, and it is always performed upon an institution’s request.

Since the day of its establishment, our hospital has kept on investing in high quality treatment, development of innovations and building medical teams with complementary competences. The awarded accreditation is the expression of the consistent implementation of our development strategy

added Anna Nipanicz-Szałkowsk.
